Right place, right time for hat-trick hero Toure in Robins win

Mo Toure cannot stop scoring goals at Norwich City with his second hat-trick of the Championship campaign in their 4-2 win over Bristol City an encouraging sign of his development.

The Australian international hit three goals in 24 second-half minutes to help Philippe Clement's side come from behind to win their third successive game on the road.

"It means a lot to be honest because a few years ago these were the goals I was struggling to score," Toure said.

"Working with the assistant coaches here and assistant coaches in my old club, showing me clips of where I could be in the box to become more dangerous, I think you're starting to see it more in games, and for me, that means the world.

"I know I'm learning and you see it in the games more. You have to be in the right positions to touch the ball, and that's what I'm happy for, to be in the right positions, and hopefully the goals keep coming.

"In Australia, everyone's sleeping. I think it's the early hours. But I know later on when they all wake up, I'm going to get a lot of calls from my family."

Toure's third goal at Ashton Gate perhaps sums up the purple patch he is in at City, after Paris Maghoma's shot from range cannoned off his midriff and past Radek Vítek. For all the work he has put into his finishing, the Aussie is not precious about how the ball nestles into the net.

"A goal's a goal at the end of the day, especially the third one which was very, very dodgy," he said with a smile with team mate Maghoma in earshot.

"To be honest, it stays between us, but I think he should have passed it. So I'm happy I stole his goal, to be honest.

"I was free, he took a shot, that's what happened. It just hit me. It hit my stomach. It went in, I don't know. Maybe if it was the first goal or the second, I wouldn't celebrate. But because it was for the hat-trick, I had to make it look like a hat-trick, that's why."
