Wrexham AFC fans can secure permanent place in club history at new Kop

Wrexham AFC supporters are being given the chance to become a permanent part of the club’s history as work continues on the landmark new Kop Stand development at STōK Cae Ras.

The club has unveiled plans for Kop Square, a new fan area which will sit alongside the redeveloped stand and welcome supporters to the world’s oldest international football stadium.

At the heart of the project will be a walkway of personalised engraved stones, allowing fans to leave a lasting tribute at the Racecourse Ground.

Announcing the initiative, the club said supporters can now register their interest in purchasing a Kop Stone, with a range of sizes and price points available.

The stones can be used to commemorate special memories, honour loved ones, celebrate family traditions or simply demonstrate a lifelong connection to the club.

The new scheme follows a tradition already familiar to many Wrexham fans.

Engraved memorial and commemorative bricks have long formed part of the landscape outside the ground on Mold Road, allowing supporters to celebrate milestones and pay tribute to family members connected to the club.

The introduction of Kop Square will expand on that idea as part of the stadium’s biggest transformation in decades.

The redevelopment of the Kop is one of the centrepieces of Wrexham AFC’s wider ambitions under owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac.

Once complete, the stand will restore the stadium to a four-sided configuration for the first time in years and increase the ground’s capacity to more than 18,000.

Designed by Populous, the 5,500-capacity stand will include safe-standing areas, hospitality facilities and improved accessibility, while a public plaza behind the stand is intended to serve as a gathering place for supporters on matchdays and for the wider community throughout the year.

Recent construction milestones have seen the structure begin to dominate the skyline behind the goal, with supporters watching closely as the project takes shape.
