But there could be a host of new faces in the side for the visit of the Imps, with a few new signings who are yet to play significant minutes for the club likely eyeing it up as an opportunity to impress.

The Daily Echo predicts how the Cherries will line up.

Rose has admitted that having a cup keeper is a conversation he needs to have, and that’ll be a decision for him to make before Tuesday.

I think he will change the keeper, though, as he stressed that Michele Di Gregorio needs to be match sharp in case he is called upon.

Therefore, I think the Juventus loanee will make his Cherries debut.

Cup games always present a dilemma – you want to continue to build partnerships within the team, but there are no doubt more important fixtures to come in the league and in the Europa League, so players need rest.

I think there’ll be some rotation in the back line, but I think Rose may opt for the same centre back pairing of James Hill and Antonio Silva, to allow them to continue to gel, although I equally wouldn’t be surprised if Bafode Diakite started.

Adam Smith has played every minute so far this season and I think he’ll be rested, with Juanlu Sanchez given his Cherries debut, while Julio Soler will come in at left back for Adrien Truffert.

Alex Toth got plenty of minutes in pre-season but we have only seen him briefly so far in competitive games, so I think he will start.

Lewis Cook started the first two league games but came off the bench at the weekend, and I think he’ll come into the XI once again, with Tyler Adams and Alex Scott given a rest.

Rose has more interesting decisions to make here.

I think Alvaro Rodriguez will start, with his height also helping at the back with Lincoln a threat at set pieces as a very direct, set piece-driven side.

Marcus Tavernier has started the season very well and while I again wouldn’t be surprised to see him rested, I do think he will be given a start to continue that form and provide some continuity in the forward line.

Ben Gannon-Doak will be wanting to prove a point after he was left out of the Europa League squad and I think this will be the perfect opportunity for him to do so, so I think Rose will give him a start.

Finally, Rose doesn’t have loads of options to play in the number ten role, unless he plays Tavernier there, but there aren’t many options at left wing with Amine Adli out injured.

So I think we might see Evanilson play off Rodriguez, which we saw on occasion in pre-season, with the Brazilian making a solid start to the campaign.
