Leeds United in ‘advanced talks’ to seal permanent end to stop-start career

Jack Harrison’s on-off Leeds United career looks to be set to come to a permanent end.

Sky Sports claim New England Revolution are in ‘advanced talks’ with the Whites over a deal that would see the 29-year-old move on once more.

At the start of his career Harrison had three seasons on loan at Elland Road as a Manchester City player before signing permanently in 2021.

He then spent two seasons loaned to Everton, came back at the start of last term and was then loaned to Fiorentina in February having made it clear he wanted to leave the club. All in all the winger has made 219 appearances for Leeds, scored 34 goals and assisted 32.

Sky Sports also claim the transfer could be completed by the end of the week and would represent a return to the MLS having started his career at Man City's sister club New York City FC.

Harrison has two years left on the contract he signed just four months before he first went to Everton in the summer of 2023.

He was a bit part player in the first half of last season, starting just one Premier League game and making ten appearances as a substitute. He was not included in the squad for the tour to the USA.
