Back to the real thing for Norwich fans after England

Fans across the country are returning to the default option after England’s World Cup exit – bring on the domestic season.

The semi-final loss to Argentina brought an outpouring of scorn on England boss Thomas Tuchel for his negative tactics, but it is clear where sentiments are strongest.

A Pink Un poll asked a simple question: Which one are you choosing - England win the World Cup or Norwich City win the league? The response made it clear – 64pc of the voters wanted to see Norwich win the Championship title.

And not long after the final whistle went in Atlanta on Wednesday night, City fans were firmly back in yellow and green mode….

After watching England this tournament can’t wait to watch Norwich City again. Attacking football and even when we’re only one goal up we always look comfortable. Remember that run where we went 13 games without conceding a second-half goal whilst not even parking the bus - @ncfc4543

There were some gruesome similarities with what Dean Smith, yes, him did at #ncfc and what Tuchel did... took off creative and attacking players when leading. The difference was England lasted longer than NCFC, but the way Argentina took us apart was inevitable - @bomberboy467
