Watford sign Kjerrumgaard from Udinese on a permanent deal

Watford have announced the permanent signing of Luca Kjerrumgaard from Udinese, following on from last season's loan.

Kjerrumgaard top scored with nine goals last term, largely used as first-choice centre-forward by all three coaches, and returned for pre-season at the beginning of this summer.

He and Mamadou Doumbia are the two number nines currently at the club, with new signing Iker Bravo also capable of leading the line, and the Dane said he feels 'part of the family' at Watford.

He said: "I'm very happy to commit my future to Watford.

"I've felt part of the family since the first day I joined.

"I look forward to building on last season, both from a team and personal perspective, and I can't wait to see the fans again as we look ahead to a new campaign."

Kjerrumgaard scored a brace on his home debut against QPR last August, also netting in wins against Middlesbrough, Derby (twice), Norwich, Stoke and Bristol City.

He only actually scored in seven of his 43 appearances, though, and his Watford future did not appear certain at the end of last season.

Having been brought back to try and impress Alessio Dionisi this season, though, he is now been signed on a permanent deal - the third addition from Udinese this summer, following Omar Traore and Iker Bravo.
